Got my Manx Shearwater at last. A short seawatch with northwestern winds at Herdlevær from Geitingneset was very calm with only 8 Gannets and three Whimbrels. But around 10:00 I picked up a Manx Shearwater flying to the north. It was quite distant, but it was easy recognizable😊. The underparts white, the upper parts being dark brownish rather than black, certainly because of the full sunlight, but also because of wear, I presume...

Seawatch at Herdlevær
Took for the first time this year an attempt to see Manx Shearwater. Didn't succeed. The wind was calm and coming from the south. Next time better...
But it was nice with an Arctic Skua mobbing a Great Black-backed Gull, a flyby Puffin and three Sanderlings passing by. And about ten Gannet and a few Arctic Terns fishing. A visit at the tern colony at Davøy produced aggressive birds of both species, both Common and Arctic. Sure they're having young on the nests...
